I was lucky enough to interview the ranger at the world’s first municipal public park for a podcast, but prior to that I had 90 minutes to spare! This special place in the Wirral inspired the famous Central Park in New York. It’s lovely with all the Autumn colours. I try to share a little bit of history too as this park’s designer Joseph Paxton also designed my local neighbourhood park – none other than The Crystal Palace on the former Penge Place (South London).
